Ms. Himes received her Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from California State University at Long Beach in 1978. She maintains Professional Engineer licenses in the states of Michigan, California, and Florida, and is currently in the process of obtaining her licenses in Nevada and Arizona.
Helen�s primary expertise is in the areas of highway, utility and maintenance of traffic design as well as construction engineering.
In March of 1992, Ms. Himes founded HH Engineering Ltd. as a Michigan Consulting Engineering Company and became certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Michigan Department of Transportation in August of 1992. HH Engineering Ltd. is organized to provide specialized services for civil engineering, transportation and land development projects ranging from the design of major highways and bridges to design and construction administration for local development projects.
In the past 18 years, HH Engineering Ltd. has been involved in or completed the design of over 100 road and bridge projects for the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Engineering Manager
Mr. Halbeisen received his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University in 1978, and has maintained his Professional Engineering license in the State of Michigan since 1983.
After working together with Ms. Himes since 1980, Alan joined the HH Engineering team in September of 1994. His primary expertise is in the areas of bridge design & construction; and evaluation, programming & design for restoration of historic bridges.
With 30 years of experience in consulting engineering, Alan has been an immeasurable asset to the success and reputation of HH Engineering Ltd. He has completed a wide variety of tasks that include performing inspections, load ratings, and rehabilitation designs for existing bridges and full range of services for new bridges; including hydraulic and scour analyses, environmental assessments, programming, design and construction administration. He has also been a presenter at many ASCE branch meetings involving Historic Restoration, Bridge Relocation and Transportation Research projects.
