HH Engineering Ltd. was incorporated in March of 1992 as a Michigan Consulting Engineering company and became certified as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Michigan Department of Transportation in August of 1992. The corporate office of HH Engineering Ltd. is located in the Michigan Building, formerly the Michigan Theatre, in Downtown Detroit. In addition, the firm operates a small office near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
 
 
  HH Engineering Ltd. provides site, road and bridge design services for publicly funded transportation projects. We have an excellent reputation working with MDOT and with local agencies throughout Michigan. We are organized to provide specialized services for civil engineering, transportation and land development projects ranging from the design of major highways and bridges to design and construction administration for large commercial and industrial projects. In the past 18 years, we have provided road and bridge design services to MDOT, many local governmental agencies, private developers and with other consultants in Michigan. In addition, HH Engineering Ltd. has been involved in the site engineering for numerous commercial and industrial sites throughout the State of Michigan. Some of the major projects include road and utility design for Compuware�s World Headquarters in Downtown Detroit, site engineering and storm water detention design for Renaissance Global Logistics� Trucking Facility located on Fort Street in Detroit; as well as the site engineering, utility and storm water design for both the Welcome Center Facility at Wayne State University and the Art Studio Addition on the Cranbrook Campus.
 
 
  Currently, HH Engineering Ltd has nine (9) employees including: five (5) engineers (four of which have Professional Engineer licenses), two (2) technical support staff and one administrative staff person. Ms. Helen Himes, P.E fully owns and operates HH Engineering. Helen's primary expertise is in the areas of highway, utility and site engineering as well as construction engineering. Mr. Alan Halbeisen, P.E. operates the Western Michigan office of HH Engineering Ltd., in the City of Lowell. Mr. Halbeisen's experience covers the full range of bridge design and construction engineering services, with emphasis on bridges in the Critical Bridge program. Mr. Kirk Cox, P.E. has significant experience working for MDOT and other municipalities on road projects as well as the design of storm water systems. Mr. Cox is currently Lead Engineer for the design of passing relief lanes for a portion of US-12 between the cities of Saline and Clinton in Washtenaw County. Mr. Al Garavaglia is our Senior Technician for Bridge Design, with over 30 years of experience in the structural detailing of highway bridges and structures.
